Seven Questions to help you find your Total Home Care Solution

These seven questions focus on the most common issues that our clients and their family have struggled with before turning to Lifespan.  The questions are provided to help others determine what their biggest home care needs are and how Lifespan can help as the "Total Home Care Solutuon."

Q. Are you or you loved one suffering from an illness or injury that would require the attentions of a skilled nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech therapist?

A. Lifespan Visiting Nurse Services can provide the skilled care necessary to facilitate your recovery. For Medicare beneficiaries, the home health benefit is covered 100%.

Q. Do you or your loved one have difficulty following physician's orders and taking medication properly?

A. Lifespan staff will arrange for a professional to monitor the prescribed dosage of medication to promote compliance with the treatment plan and to obtain the medication refills as needed.

Q. Do find that it is difficult for you or your loved one to leave home due to illness, physical limitations or frailty?

A. As a Total Home Care Solution, you may benefit from a wide range of our services, including skilled care services from our Visiting Nurse Services, private care from Continu-Care or a variety of medical equipment that can increase your mobility and independence.

Q. Have you or your loved one experienced a fall, or show physical signs of falling?

A. A Lifespan staff member will do a home safety assessment to evaluate your home environment for safety and make recommendations based on their findings. Our Personal Emergency Response system is also a great way to provide peace of mind for those who are at risk for falling. And finally, providing an aide to help with bathing and dressing, where falls occur most frequently, can be an important preventive measure.

Q. Do you or your loved one have difficulties with tasks of daily living involving bathing or dressing, housekeeping chores or preparing meals?

A. Lifespan Continu-Care can provide a Home Health Aide to assist the client with Activities of Daily Living when needed and educate and assist the client with food shopping and meal preparation.

Q. Are you or your loved one looking at solutions to increase mobility?

A. If is getting increasingly difficult to for you to walk or participate in events outside the home, you may benefit from one of our large selection of mobility aids. From a simple cane to a powered wheelchair, our mobility experts at Lifespan can assist you in picking the equipment that is right for you.

Q. Have you or your loved one been recently diagnosed with a life limiting illness?

A. Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice is able to help you and your loved one during this journey. We canprovide care in your current residence, or we welcome you to visit our warm and home-like Hospice residence.
